What is the Tayo Kids After-School Yoga Program?
• Our mission is to teach children yoga postures in a fun, playful way. 'Tayo' means 'natural balance.'
• Students will practice breathing techniques, poses, games, and relaxation, all within a fun and playful atmosphere!
• Yoga is traditionally associated with the development of positive traits such as confidence, focus, compassion, respect, tolerance, patience, and nonviolence.
With the Tayo Kids Yoga After-School Program your student will:
• Learn to integrate yoga skills into their daily lives, enhancing learning potential and life skills.
• Have fun learning a new skill, leading to academic success.
• Feel better about themselves, healthier, more connected and focused.
Kids practice fun-filled yoga poses and breathing exercises to promote:
• Physical strength and flexibility
• Concentration, focus, balance, and attention
• Inner strength and body awareness
• Confidence and self-esteem
• Relaxation and self-control
• A feeling of well-being and respect for others
• Love for one’s self, inside and out
